Toronto: A Musical City

Toronto has always been a musical city, and it's easy to see why. With so many venues, many of which are in close proximity to one another, it's no wonder that musicians, beginners and professionals alike, look to Toronto as a 'must-go-to' place for performance.

However, Toronto is also home to two great institutions for learning: The Royal Conservatory of Music and the University of Toronto's Faculty of Music, both of which boast of its impressive notable alumni.

I've included some little bits of information (some interesting, some observatory in nature) on the site markers, so click on those if you're interested.

This is only the tip of the iceberg - there are a number of great smaller venues, indie venues, and venues that I haven't included due to time constraints (trying to map all the places Toronto has is mind-boggling, especially since one would like to pay hommage to those other venues that haven't stood the test of time), as well as the fact that this particular assignment asked to look at 'classical' music. Maybe at a later time, I'll add to the list, or fellow music nerds can speak of their favourite places as well.
