What is a "walkthrough" and is it necessary?

It is the final inspection of a home by the buyer before closing. This is to ensure any agreement to make repairs or do other things have been completed before the closing papers are signed. Some things to do: turn lights on and off, check outlets, run water, look for leaks, test appliances, flush toilets, inspect ceiling, walls and floors, test heating and AC, open and close windows. The walkthrough is essential.

Tips for Finding a Great Real Estate Agent
