WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be visited anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased from item upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will display the item's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of getting a new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded. item upgrader Casesgg can also be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or complete quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no item upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are available only through a variety of methods. This is both a positive and a drawback.

In Season 3 the upgrade system was tweaked a bit, with numerous new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a particular level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading additional items to the same level will cost less, even in the event that they belong to an entirely different set of gear.

The discount applies to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players reach certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW players have a variety of options. They can use Flightstones that are a common upgrade currency that is available to everyone, or crests, which are more specific and consumed during upgrades on specific levels of the item. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests can only be spent on gear of a specific rank, and that every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests depending on the type of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by working through content at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities, or by taking on dungeons and raids of any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

Using these new currencies isn't that difficult however, the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, once an item is at the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear that you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, that will be able to benefit from the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
