World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade option allows players to boost an item's gear rating up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded to increase their stats (like a perfectly rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not change significantly after an upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats, such as the chance to crit, attack damage as well as PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. Some weapons also come with an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a unit. This bonus can sometimes be more than the damage that a weapon upgrade can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and level. For instance an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a gun will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. This is usually a good thing, but it can also have negative effects. Upgrades can make things unusable, unless you are exceptionally lucky.

Armor items can be upgraded to increase their performance. For example, if you upgrade a helm or chest, this will increase the defense of its base, while gloves and belts will enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes reroll down to a lower value.

upgrade item of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain when upgrading, along with the relative values of those stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword with 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will be hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button with circular arrows within the item menu. This will reroll an item and alter its stats but it will not reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make all the difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons and fire as well as magic. This can make it easier to navigate difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense you can offer your character, the greater health you can receive from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and to unlock them all, you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main side quest and mastered the fountain in question you'll be able to contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required to complete each will vary. You'll require anything between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in frigid environments with a large number of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you can survive a raid with your friends.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll need to work on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use for the final boss battle and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also gain benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have a few upgrades to your chest armor and helmets that allow you to stealth around certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by the participant, produce a temporary effect. There are five kinds of potions that have different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. In addition the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Potion upgrades require a certain amount XP. This can be obtained by making them on a table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the upgrade price is dependent on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.

To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI where you can select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will yield when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanics of potions. For instance, splash potions now have the duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display). The table for potion is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. This is the same for using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the potion, and refill the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The table of potions is organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as the potion of leaping, the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to a small ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't essential, like a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to signify friendship or affection, especially between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to purchasing a new trinket. A player can upgrade a trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same level of base as the old trinket, but will also have an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once the old ones are no longer useful which allows a player to boost their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an extremely popular alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment that won't replace in the near future (such as rings or cloaks). When deciding which items to upgrade, players must also take into account the preferred statistics of their class. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks, they should prioritize upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level once they are no longer useful and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. A re-upgrade, however, will destroy the trinket unless it can be salvaged with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying the new one.
